Cover Reveal/Giveaway: Crashed By K.Bromberg

Synopsis:
When life crashes down around us, how hard are we willing to fight for the one thing we can’t live without, each other?

Life is full of moments.
Big moments.
Little moments.
And none of them are inconsequential.
Every single moment prepares you for that one instance that defines your life. You must overcome all your fears, confront the demons that chase you, and cleanse the poison that clings to your soul or you risk the chance of losing everything.

Mine started the minute Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet. She made me feel. Made me whole when all I thought I could ever be was incomplete. Became the lifeline I never knew I needed. Hell yes, she’s worth the fight…but how do you fight for someone you know you don’t deserve?

Love is full of ups and downs.
Heart stopping highs.
Soul shattering lows.
And none of them are insignificant.
Love is a racecourse of unexpected twists and turns that must be negotiated. You have to break down walls, learn to trust, and heal from your past in order to win. But sometimes it’s the expected that’s the hardest to hold on to.

Colton has healed and completed me, stolen my heart, and made me realize our love’s not predictable nor perfect—it’s bent. And bent’s okay. But when outside factors put our relationship to the test, what lengths will I have to go to prove to him that he’s worth the fight?

Whoever said love is patient and love is kind, never met the two of us.  We know our love is worth it—have acknowledged that we were meant to be—but when our pasts crash into our future, will the repercussions make us stronger or break us apart?

Driven Book #1 of the Driven Trilogy

Synopsis
Rylee Thomas is used to being in control. But she’s about to meet the one man that just might make her enjoy losing it…

I am the exception to the rule.

In a world full of willing women, I’m a challenge to the roguish and achingly handsome Colton Donavan. A man used to getting exactly what he wants in all aspects of life. He’s the reckless bad boy constantly skating that razor thin edge toward out of control, on and off of the track.

Colton crashes into my life like a tornado: sapping my control, testing my vulnerabilities beyond their limits, and unintentionally penetrating the protective wall around my healing heart. Tearing apart the world I rebuilt so carefully with structure, predictability, and discipline.

I can’t give him what he wants and he can’t give me what I need. But after a glimpse beneath his refined exterior into the dark secrets of his damaged soul, can I bring myself to walk away?

Our sexual chemistry is undeniable. Our individual need for complete control is irrefutable. But when our worlds collide, is the chemistry enough to bring us together or will our untold secrets and battle of wills force us apart?

Book #2 of the Driven Trilogy

Synopsis
What happens when the one person you never expected suddenly happens to be the one you’ll fight the hardest to keep?

Colton stole my heart. He wasn't supposed to, and I sure as hell didn't want him to, but he crashed into my life, ignited feelings within me that I thought had died forever, and fueled a passion that I never knew could exist.

Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet and into my life. Now I don't think I'll ever be the same. She's seen glimpses of the darkness within me, and yet she's still here. Still fighting for me. She is without a doubt the saint, and I am most definitely the sinner.

How is it the one thing neither of us wanted—neither of us anticipated that fateful night—has us fighting so hard to keep?

He steals my breath, stops my heart, and brings me back to life again all in a split second of time. But how can I love a man who won't let me in? Who continually pushes me away to prevent me from seeing the damaged secrets in his past? My heart has fallen, but patience and forgiveness can only go so far.

How can I desire a woman who unnerves me, defies me, and forces me to see that in the deep, black abyss of my soul there's someone worthy of her love? A place and person I swore I'd never be again. Her selfless heart and sexy body deserve so much more than I'll ever be capable of giving her. I know I can't be what she needs, so why can't I just let her go?

We are driven by need and fueled with desire, but is that enough for us to crash into love?

My Review

4 Brilliant Stars!!

I really enjoyed book 1 and was intrigued to see what would happen in this book. And I am so glad I wasn't disappointed, this book was just as good and much more.

The ending made you want more, it's not a cliffhanger yet it has you craving for more, wondering what will happen next.I was looking forward to this book yet I thought it may become predictable and then I read it and Omg sooo not how I expected it to go.There are a lot of issues that need to be solved and I can't wait for the next book to be released!

"What I feel...for you, Erica. With everything else that's going on, sometimes it's just too intense. I feel like I'm going to rip us both apart. I wanted tonight to be different. I really did." He closed his eyes for a moment. "You deserve to be worshiped. Loved."

At the start Blake kind of pissed me off , I was just getting so frustrated with the whole hiding business. He should have been upfront and told her everything since he is part of the mess and she is involved aswell. He tried to take care of everything and avoid telling her anything. I felt like screaming OMG stop it already! He needed to treat her as an equal so she doesn't start hiding stuff as well. But yeah just small stuff at the beginning other than that he is a love-able frustrating man!

"Mine. You're mine. Just like this. Your body, your heart. Every part of you."

New characters are introduced some good and some evil, lets see if you can guess which ones are which ;)
Some old characters return much more dangerous and fierce than ever before. One of the new guys is James who works for Erica, i had this weird feeling about him, I can't even explain it but yeah maybe I am wrong or maybe the next book will bring out his true motives.

I was really surprised and shocked with some of the things that happened in this book , the suspense was killing me.Some parts I was like OMG Erica wtf are you thinking?! Making me panic and want to remove Erica from a stupid/dangerous situation.

"Loving me wasn't enough. You've made me desperate."

Next book..please be out soon!

Cover Reveal: Fighting to Forget By J.B Salsbury

Release date: April 15, 2014
Presale available: April 1, 2014

Fighting to Forget Blurb
Every fighter is drawn to the violence, the release that a perfect hit can bring.
But very few are drawn to the pain.
Rex Carter lives behind a wall of indifference. The demons from his childhood act as an anesthetic, keeping him distant from emotional connections. Only the ache from a knock to the jaw, sting of a tattoo needle, or heat from a piercing, can jolt him back from the numbness. The fiery pain is all he can feel, and nothing compares to the burn.
Or so he thought.
Working in a Las Vegas bar isn’t Georgia Maxwell’s dream. But she hopes it’ll be an end to the nightmare.
Over a decade she’s watched him. Followed his career and kept tabs, all in preparation for this moment. To make amends, repair the wrong. But she didn’t count on the feelings that seeing him again would stir up. The vacant look in his stormy-blue eyes, his perfect body now mutilated by ink and metal.
And only she knows why. She’s lived his pain, every single day, since the day he left.
Changed by time, Rex doesn’t remember the girl from his past. If only she could do the same.
Will she get the absolution she’s spent her life seeking?
Or will he continue, Fighting to Forget?

Unedited Teaser from Fighting to Forget:

Mac
“What do you dream about?” His voice is soft, desperate.
“Memories from the past. Things I wish I could forget, but can’t.” You. Always you.
“Forget.” A humorless laugh, dry with sarcasm, tumbles from his lips. “You think your nightmares would end if you couldn’t remember the bad?”
“I don’t know. I hope they would.”
He exhales hard and his shoulders drop. “They don’t.”
God, what is he saying? He doesn’t remember the bad, but he dreams it? I’m pushing it, I know I am, but he’s opening up and I can’t pass up the opportunity to find out if he’s okay, if he’s really okay. “You dream the bad, but you can’t remember it?”
            “Something like that.”
That’s not possible. “Then how do you know it’s real?”
He drops his head into his hands, gripping fistfuls of his hair. “I don’t.”

Cover Reveal: Invincible by Alana Albertson

Title: Invincible

Author: Alana Albertson
Genre: New Adult Romantic Thriller
Organized by: Indie Sage, LLC
Tentative Release Date: February 23, 2014
Goodreads: http://bit.ly/1jnY8wb

Read Chapter One: http://totallybookedblog.com/

Synopsis:

I'll be honest with you—I'm no hero. Sure—the media tries to brand every Navy SEAL as some kind of Batman dressed in cammies. There’s even a line in one of our cadences—"superman is the man of steel, he ain’t no match for Navy SEAL." You've seen the movies—we're indestructible, invincible, invulnerable. But that night, the one you read about in the papers—all I really wanted to do was get laid.

One harmless fuck with a Curaçao whore—no strings attached. I picked her out of a lineup—wild, dark hair, long legs and a crooked smile. After she sucked me off, I relaxed back onto the creaky, cum-stained cot, thankful for the blissful moments she gave me when I actually forgot for a second the faces of my buddies who died because I made the wrong call, the tears of the children I couldn't save, and the eyes of the enemies I slaughtered during their last seconds of life.

But before I left, her green eyes peered into my soul. She whispered in a distinct So Cal accent, "My name is Annie Baylis. I'm an American citizen. I was kidnapped from a cruise ship five years ago. You're my last hope. Please save me."

One desperate plea. This wasn’t a Hollywood blockbuster or a New York Times best-selling thriller. I knew that this time there was no room for excuses, no margin for errors. I had one chance to put the cape on and be her hero.

Check out the prologue for My 27 Men by Elle Carter

PROLOGUE

Being attractive has its ups and downs when it comes to trying to secure husband.  The up is I’ve met loads of men, loads.  Men like me. I don’t struggle to meet men. The real struggle is meeting a decent one. The downside to being attractive is believing when one man doesn’t meet my expectations I can just go out there and meet another man…since I started dating at the age of 19 I’ve always found myself on a quest for a man who is better than the last, a worthy successor. But does better even exist? It would appear not. I’ve started to realise at the age of 38 that I should have just settled years ago. That’s what ugly girls do. The first guy who wants them they cling to. We’ve all watched The Undateables. Those people aren’t in a position to pick or chose who they want as life partners. They take what they get. Have you ever seen an episode in which the facially challenged woman says about her date ‘Oh no…he’s just not quite my type. I prefer my men with a little less facial hair and a stronger jaw’. No. That’s because they can’t. Their choices are limited and they will take what they can get. They will love the man with the freakishly bulbous eyes and withered hands. Lower expectations and lower standards. I’ve come to the realisation that I need to lower my expectations and standards if I want to settle down.  Why didn’t I just make it work with the 5ft 4 man (I’m 5ft 8) with the gunshot wound in his back (shot in his back during what I presume was a failed criminal escapade) and the knife scars on his face (and we’re not talking Seal style cultural scars either). Cutty was the name I gave him for obvious reasons. You’ll read about him later.
My point is that being attractive has given me a degree of confidence. Confidence that I can meet someone else…someone whose back hasn’t been blown out by an AK47 and someone who doesn’t need to stand on a stool to kiss me. Why should I settle for this bullshit when I’m certain I am worthy of better?
I often look back and analyse my men and often wonder what the fuck I was thinking but I don’t regret any of my encounters.  I’m sure some of the men regret me and those who don’t will do after reading this book.  I sincerely hope none of these men try to sue me when they work out it is actually them I have written about. I hope they understand that these colourful experiences are worth sharing, if only for comic value alone. I don’t want to shame any of these men. I enjoyed my time with all of them…even you Cutty.
The first thing to do, before I start, is put my men in some sort of order.
I realised about 5 years ago that I was losing track of how many men I had slept it. I knew I’d reached double figures but remembering each individual guy and was too great a challenge to contemplate. I wish all the men I’ve met left a lasting legacy in my memory but that would be a lie. Some of the men I slept with have been so forgettable I may never even ever remember them. So I’ve started my list, not in order of priority or preference but just as the names spring to mind:
Andrew- married man. Say no more.
Flavio- exceptionally pretty Brazilian beach boy. I was 33. He was 19. I really should have paid him for services rendered.
Jonathan - a victim of the recession. Broke was an understatement.
Brian – oh god.
Frank- I actually slept with this one weeks after he’d had a tumour removed from his brain. Please don’t judge me.
Leon- first love.  I was 17 at the time. I took my pretty friend to his house and behind my back he mouthed to her ‘will you go out with me?’
Sean- Oh god. Huge dick laden with STIs.
Dexter’s friend- I can’t believe I’ve forgotten this guy’s name.
The American guy from the Dalston club – will never remember his name
Mike- the cute young guy I met on POF. We’ve all done it. Please don’t judge me
Ryan- successful, arrogant and short.
Lee 2- ‘What sugar you been eating baby?’ Don’t ask. Some people just shouldn’t talk during sex.
So how many is that now? 12. I haven’t had as many men as I thought. 12 isn’t that bad. Oh shit…more have sprung to mind.
Jermaine
Shawn
Gavin
Simon
The white Portuguese guy (the ONLY white guy on my list)
Toni
Troy/Matthew – whatever his name was.
Bobby
Roger
That’s it now. I’m sure. Phew. So 21 it is. Not bad for a woman of my age. Did I mention I’m 38 by the way?
Oh how could I forget…
Cutty
Robin
Michael
Floyd
Justin
There – that’s it. 26 men
Oh and the guy with the green eyes.

27.

My Review
4 BROKEN, I-NEED-MORE STARS!!

After reading some crap books I decided to start this book in hopes that it would bring me out of the book funk.I see some good reviews and now I know why. When I see Fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared to You, and Release Me will be hooked.. I am like damn I need to read that book as I loved them books! It made me thing that this book would contain a broken alpha male who finds a women who accepts him in all his brokenness and so on..Yeah this book wasn't like that. There wasn't BDSM involved and Ethan wasn't really controlling a it was much more softer and sweeter.

Ruined is book 1 of the Ethan Frost series by Tracy Wolff, this is the first book I have read by this author and I want more.I loved the chemistry between Ethan and Chloe, the way they teased each other and the banter was awesome, made me laugh especially the smoothie scene.

His hands come up to cup my face, to tilt my head this way and that so he can delve deeper. So I can welcome him wholly inside me. And I do. For these few, stolen moments out of time, I welcome everything he can give me.

Chloe is broken and fragile even though she puts up a good front, after having a rough past she is still trying to get her life back on track.trying to be in control, trying to be normal again, but lets face it she was never normal, not after what she faced and she may never be normal.

First day of her summer internship at Frost Industries and this is what she has always wanted, to be here. Strong independent and trying to get herself through school. She has a plan and she is in control.Things don't seem to go as planned when Ethan Frost sets his eyes on her.He sees more then she wants him to and he is determined to have her.
Chloe has never felt like this before, she is confused and scared as much as she wants to push Ethan away and have him out of her life, she can't.He feels safe, he makes everything better.

In that one, perfect moment, I want more. I want everything. Everything I’ve denied myself since I was fifteen years old. Everything I’ve told myself I don’t want and shouldn’t have.

Ethan..Oh Ethan! He is awesome I loved how he was different, he didn't come across as a cold, serious or impatient.I loved how he treated her as someone precious, he was gentle and wanted to be there for her.He could tell that she had been through some tough times but didn't know much else, yet he wanted to help. His touch healed her, mended some of the cracks in her heart.

You see that he has demons of his own yet all the secrets haven't been revealed, there is much more to the story which I am dying to find out about. The ending..omg cliffhanger! I knew if would be a cliffhanger but I saw hot alpha male and was like cliffhanger what? I will read this book and I will complain when I finish because I have to wait until the next book *sniffs* I knew it I knew it! I was somewhat shocked and then at the back of my mind I knew something like this would happen!

You think its going to be all happy and lovely and then boom! everything changes..

Oh book 2 when can I have you?

Blog Tour/Review/Giveaway: London Falling by T.A. Foster

Synopsis
It’s London’s senior year and she only needs one class to graduate. She just didn’t expect her final assignment: fall in love.
Communication 224 has a reputation for giving out the most unique projects of the semester. When London James and Beau Anderson signed up for the class they had no idea they would be paired up together, much less spend an entire semester working on their final grade.
Professor Garcia tasks them to produce a study on the hit reality show, Love Match, a show about strangers falling in love on over the top dates. London and Beau decide to debunk the popular show’s fantasy portrayal of romance. Determined they can date the entire semester and not fall for each other, the classmates share blogs about their dates and start a website where everyone can follow their dating experiment. Resisting their growing attraction for one another is harder than they thought.
London is in for the toughest class of her college career. The headstrong and success-driven student discovers there might be more important things in life than an A.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

My Review
3 STARS!
London Falling is based around a Uni project in communications and social media class. Each person was assigned a partner and each pair would be given a different reality show, the students need to use different communication theories that they had learnt in class and put them into play whilst building up their project. You had to somehow rebuild or create similar situations that are shown in the reality show you have been given and then answer the question..How real are reality shows?

'You can't find love if your heart doesn't want to walk the journey.'

London is dreading this class and the strange projects, this is her last class she needs to complete and get an A on so she can pursue her acting dream. She loves drama, acting is her passion and she is totally at home on stage. It's all she can focus on but things start to change when she starts this project with Beau.

Beau is a fun-loving, make-the-most-of-any-situation kind of guy with a hint of bad boy.He is different, a care-free blogger with a mission to complete his senior "bucket list".His blog posts are read by many students and he is somewhat popular with all his connections and getting people to help him out in situations.

London wants to move away after graduation and Beau has his own path he wants to follow. So what will happen when their project is based around a dating show and they have to go out on dates? Is falling in love so simple or will they just end up broken hearted when it all ends?

Reading the synopsis and seeing the ratings,I thought this would be a great read.I liked how this book was different, it really had potential but I felt like a lot of things were missing. And I didn't feel any sort of connection with the characters. There weren't any big moments, twists or something that grasps the reader.

I hated how London was so focused on her acting career and her future and I just wanted to shake her and tell her to wake up, open your eyes and see what is right in-front of you! I wanted to know more about Beau, more about his background I wish they had connected on a deeper level. This wasn't a brilliant book in my opinion but it was okay and there were parts which I found fun and enjoyable.
