My Review

5 Brilliant, I-Want-More Stars!!

'Why do I believe her to be mine and I hers when she is supposed to be my enemy?'

So it took me a while to get round to this one and wait wait before you all attack me ..It's only because I really, really didn't want this series to finish! But then Jennifer Loren gave me some amazing news when she revealed that there would be more! Yes baby! I was over the moon and thought well now I can read it. This is book 5 in the Devil's Eyes series by Jennifer Loren and what a book is was. JL you never disappoint!

"This fallen angel may be stained, but don't be fooled.I am not broken.I will be the remedy to your poison, Asmodeus."

This book continues from where the last last book finished. You find out that somehow Kayla carries the key to getting Nick back from his grandfathers clutches.Nick has been poisoned and he doesn't remember Kayla or any of his family anymore. He is ready to kill anyone who goes against Dennis not knowing that his grandfather is making him hurt his own family and friends.

One thing I love about this series is that it has it all, entertainment, drama, suspense, action, thrills, humour and so much more. I love each and every character (the good ones obviously).Dennis Savage the things I wanted to do to you..no for all the perverts reading this and thinking its all sexual.NO. I wanted to kill this man in so many different ways.He had my blood boiling, why Dennis are you such a pig?

"I know you can't take your eyes off me.I get it but I have some things I need to take care of.You can undress me with your eyes when I get back later.."- Elijah

We got to see a lot more of Elijah awww I already liked him in from the glimpses we got in the previous books but this one made me love him more.I just wanted to squeeze him! I'm happy he finally found someone and now its Ryan's turn. I'm hoping Ryan finds his happily ever after in the books to come because he truly deserves it. There were a lot of funny parts as well as the serious bits and how everything was going to work out, how to get Nick back and protect the family.

"Oh, be nice, tall unpleasant one.I will look at your breasts next if you want?" I say rubbing his chest.- Elijah

I felt like this book was too short because I just can't get enough of these books and series. One minute I started it and next minute finished..What is this sorcery!! LOL I finished this in one go and stayed up late because I could not put it down. And now I want more soo..hurry with the spin-off woman ;)

My Review

2.5-3 Crazy Long Stars!!

I stopped reading this when I first started as I just couldn't take the whole love triangle thing even though everyone claimed its not really a love triangle well it pissed me off so I stopped and told myself I would go back and try to finish it off one day. That day was a few days ago after finishing an amazing book I decided to get back to this one. And since my break things had changed because at the start I don't even know why but I liked Seth and I was annoyed that Emma had feelings for both the guys and so on.Coming back to it I was like..I liked Seth? Why the fuck did I like him? what a pushy pussy..ohh he annoyed me.

And with these situations when the main female character has feelings for more than one character I have a feeling called fukin-pissed-off! I hate it and I instantly hate the female character wanting to punch her in the tits and make her understand that she is confusing me and should have feelings for only one character. I AM JUST A SIMPLE GIRL WHY DYA HAVE TO MAKE THIS HARD ON ME?

Nick was the only good thing about this book he wasn't settled down didnt have a great job but he was fun and loving. Emma and Nick needed to spit out the truth and be upfront about their feelings oh it would have saved sooo much time and then we could have got rid of Seth right?

After falling for Nicks character, I was totally uninterested in Seth's character. This book has all three characters POVs I dont usually mind more than one POV but this became too much for me. Whenever it got to Seths POV I was like...

By the end I was like phew okay so on to the next book because I do want more Nick.Lets hope things get better ;)

My Review
5 BRILLIANT,FAST-PACED,I-AM-ON-EDGE, OMG-I-NEED-MORE STARS!!

Okay wow! what a bloody roller-coaster ride!
The starting at first was like eh what's going on? Then you find out about Dante, Nick's dad and his story. In the previous books we aren't told much about his dad and what we are told doesn't show Dante in a positive light. The starting is vital and explains a lot into what actually happened before Nick and everyone else was born and how Savage has always been evil, and how he effects those around him.I felt so sorry for Dante and I totally understand why he wasn't close to his kids, why he pushed them away.He was like a little Nick aww bless him! You find out that Savage is an evil controlling power hungry man who like to be the one in charge.

The Poison carries on from where the previous book left off.I was a little nervous about reading this one as I just really didn't want Nick to go bad or bad things to happen! Oh how things changed.I was hooked and I couldn't stop reading, the twists and turns had me on edge and jittery.I needed to know what would happen next.
As Nick's power starts to heighten so does his enemies.

She falls to the floor with him in her arms and cries right along with him, and along with Elijah, me, and everyone else within ear shot. No on is dry-eyed tonight.

When you go to war some people will fall and others will survive. There are some heart-breaking moments that I just did not expect. Why? whyyyy? how cruel *sobbing*

I loved all the characters as I always have in this series the new ones were mostly evil! I wanted to help kill them pftt. Kayla as always loved her spirit and charisma, she kept on fighting, she can't lose.
And she is going to go get her Nick back.Yes Yes you go girl!!

“Will I die running or will I die fighting? For Nick ... I would die fighting the devil himself.”

Nicky is such a cutie aww! In this book you see more of Elijah loved him, his funny comments and well just all of him. I really hope he settles down I feel so sorry for him as he wants a family like Nicks.
He is so sweet and lovely with Kayla in this one but there is still banter Ryan, Elijah and Kayla make a great team!

True to his word, Elijah never makes a move, but he holds my hand whenever I need him to.-Kayla

I want my Nick back!! NOW! I hope the last book ends well.I was surprised that this book doesn't end on a cliffhanger yet it still makes you want to carry on reading. Ahhh Brilliant! Well done Jennifer Loren!!

Right now lets get to Franky or as I like to call her..Fanny face! Urghhh I wanted to kill her..did I say kill her? why yes I guess I did but wait i don't want to shoot her or stab her no no that would just be too kind.I would like to rip her apart and chop her into tiny pieces coz I am just an awesome person :)

Bring on the next book!!

Q:  What inspired you to write?
A:  My love of a good story.  I wanted to read a story the way I wanted it told.  I LOVE many books with characters that have tortured souls and tragic back stories.  And I LOVE stories of rockstars, tattoed bikers and billionaire alpha males as much as the next girl.  But I was getting tired of naive virgins and unexpected pregnancies and I just felt the need to read something about your average everyday woman.  I wanted a realistic character that I could relate to and Emma was it.  Em is the typical Aussie girl in her twenties with insecurites, an uncertain direction in life and a healthy sexual appetite.  I woke up one day twelve months ago with Emma, Seth and Nick in my head, and to me they felt like your average twenty-somethings with a typical upbringing that could tell a relatable story.  Plus they wouldn’t leave me alone!  My writing evolved from there.

Excerpts

#1
My heart starts to race at the sound of his voice over the loud speaker.  Immediately I seek out the location of the booth and spot him as he walks out of it.  He looks good.  I can’t believe he’s here.  I know my eyes are bugging out of my head but I can’t stop staring.  Not only is Nick the DJ tonight but there he is, in my direct line of sight with his arms around a girl.  And she’s very attractively smiling up at him.
“I’m sorry Em!” Kat yells in my ear.  “I swear he was not the DJ listed to play, you saw the posters outside the club too.”
I swipe at my eyes as angry tears form in them.  She’s right, we had both checked.  There must have been a cancellation or something, it’s the only explanation.  I stand still as a statue as I watch Nick put his arm around the girl’s shoulder and they head for the exit.
“Em.”  Kat’s pulling on my arm.  “Please look at me.”
When I can no longer see Nick, I turn to face her.  The look on her face is a mixture of pity and pleading.
“Who’s for another drink?” I ask with false cheer.  I don’t wait for a reply from either of the girls as I hastily make my way to the bar.  I shove my way to the front, not caring about the toes I’m stepping on or the rudeness of my approach.  I don’t care that I am cutting in line.  I yell out my order for a shot of tequila.  Before I’ve even paid, I have drunk it and ordered another.  Kat spins me back to face her.
“I’m sorry Em.  I swear I didn’t know.”
I turn away from her.  I feel the hot tears about to overflow from my eyes as I hand over my money to the bartender and swallow my second shot.  I look Kat square in the eyes.
“I want to go home.”

 #2
Why does he have to be so sweet and caring?  Why does he have to make this so much harder?  I could feel his emotions, feel his love, when he was looking at my drawings.  He meant what he said.  He thinks I’ve got talent.  Hearing Nick say that meant so much more to me than anyone else.  I have had positive feedback before, but Nick loving my work means the world to me.
Nick means the world to me.
