Review: Worth It (Forbidden Men, #6) by Linda Kage

Synopsis

I fell in love once.

It was amazing. She was amazing. Life was amazing.

I lived for each time I could see her, and nothing else mattered, not that our families were enemies, our time together was forbidden, or we had to meet in secret.

Our love could conquer all.

Until it didn't.

So I was ripped away from the love of my life and shoved into hell, forced to continue without her.

It shattered me, broke the best parts of me, left me permanently damaged.

Or so I thought.

Years later, I swear history’s trying to repeat itself because she’s back in my life, and I’m just as drawn to her as I was before. But I'm older and wiser now, and I know she should stay away from a worthless ex-con like me.

So, I will not let her in. I absolutely refuse to hurt her. I will keep her away.

Then again, sometimes risking your greatest fear to get to a smile makes everything worth it, and besides, I’m not sure I can resist her, anyway.

This is the story of how Felicity Bainbridge changed my life forever, starting one summer day long ago after I was forced to change a dirty diaper...

My Review
4 Stars!!

“No matter what happens tonight, don’t ever change, okay? You are fun and sweet and amazing just the way you are. You make the world a better place because you always find the bright side. You are the bright side. And if I’m ever going to make it through this, I need to know you’re out there, still glowing and making the world bright.”

Linda Kage, woman you really know how to write an awesome book that keeps me intrigued from start to finish. And that little part at the end about Asher? What the hell are you trying to do to me? I need the next book right now!! I hate waiting omg you are going to kill me.There is no slow boring parts, every part flows and makes you want more. I didn't want it to end and yet I couldn't stop reading.

When I found out at the end of Ten's book that the next book was about some new person called Knox I was a bit like eh? Who? Why do we need a new addition I love the forbidden crew. I felt like he may not fit in or that it wouldn't be as good as the rest but oh how wrong I was. He fit right in as well as Felicity.

'She wasn’t like anyone I’d ever met… She didn’t treat me like a nobody. In fact, I don’t think anyone had ever treated me the way Felicity treated me, or looked at me the way she looked at me. Like I was something special. Like I was someone.'

I don't usually like a book that goes back and forth from past to present but again LK knows how to do it because it so worked here.I loved how cute and adorable the past was, watching the the sweet relationship bloom when Felicity and Knox are kids and then having the rough, edgy matured version of them in the present. At times I got so stuck into one section either past or present and I just wanted it to carry on yet it all made sense in the end.Every piece is slowly unraveled, the only thing I wanted more on was more aspects of Knox's life in jail or a little flashback to a time in prison. Or him gradually getting better after the trauma he faced. I also wanted more of Knox with Pick's babies because why not!

My heart broke for Knox, everything he lost. And Bentley aww damn I did not expect that and everything else that happened. It was like one blow after another, there is only so much a person can take before they start to crack.
Both Felicity and Knox had families who didn't really care about them. Felicity was usually left to do whatever unless she was needed. Knox lived in a big family with not enough money and had to make ends meet as well with a drunk father and a mother that was hardly present. One rich, one poor, both families lacking love. Two kids who don't belong finding each other in the woods. A chance meeting that changes everything.

“We’ve never really been apart. From the moment you bumped into me in those woods, we’ve belonged to each other … I don’t care if we’ve grown up. We’re still Knox and City at the core, and we’ll always love each other. You know why?” I leaned in to whisper … “Because we don’t know how to stop.”

Review: A Perfect Ten (Forbidden Men, #5) by Linda Kage

Synopsis

Let your hair down, Caroline, they said. It'll be fun, they said.

I know I've closed myself off in a major way over the past year, ever since “the incident” where I messed up my life completely. It's past time I try to live again or just give up altogether. But this is quite possibly the craziest thing I've ever done. In a last ditch effort to invigorate myself, I'm standing outside Oren Tenning's bedroom, I just peeled off the sexiest pair of underwear I own, and my hand is already raised to knock. My brother would disown me for doing anything with his best friend, and he'd probably kill Oren. But if I play my cards right, no one will ever know about this. Not even Ten.

Maybe after tonight, I’ll finally get over this stupid, irrational crush I hate having on the biggest jerk I’ve ever met. Or maybe I’ll just end up falling for him even harder. Maybe I’ll discover there’s so much more to my crude, carefree hunk than meets the eye

My Review

5 Perfect Stars!!

"You're seriously breaking all my rules. You know that right?"
Her smile just grew.
"I'm beginning to get a clue"

Linda Kage continues to blow me away.As soon as I start any book of hers I just can't stop until I have finished it.So yeah all yesterday I was sneaking around trying to get a little extra reading in because I needed more, I just couldn't put it down and then wait this is the worst part..it ended! How fukin dare it end when I'm not done with it yet? I wanted it to carry on for at least 300 pages more or forever..that works too.

I was already a Caroline fan since I met her in Quinn's book, I'm not sure if she is in any other book I started the series from Be my hero and need to read the previous two books. And Ten was always a joker, at times rude and annoying but I always knew there would be more to him. LK made me fall in love with Oren so hard and gave this book a bit of everything. At times I was laughing out loud and the next on the verge of tears. Caroline was funny and obviously Oren was bloody hilarious, at times he said inappropriate things and still made them sound sweet and adorable!

“What the fuck have you done to me Caroline? … Why couldn’t I stay away from you? … Why can’t I get enough of you? … What do I want to own every fucking piece of you?”

There were so many parts I wasn't expecting I went in kind of thinking it would be angsty and Caroline and Oren would be going back and forth, not knowing what they wanted. It wasn't like that, there was s much more to it.And finally Caroline's past all made sense and so did Oren's. There was such a deep sadness in his life, he was constantly battling it all, yet you would have never have known because he was so good at hiding it. You look at him and see this happy go lucky character, the class clown, not someone who has a big part of himself hidden even from his closest friends.

I can not wait to carry on with this series even though I'm not sure who this next character is but Linda Kage is awesome and I'm sure I will love whoever this Knox guy is as well, another author whose books will be ones I need to buy in paperback one day! I would definitely re-read them, well I have already re-read Picks book ;)

My Review

4 Stars!!

I saw this cover and thought ohh is this really a book for me? I have to admit the cover matters to me and I usually go for the more darker mysterious looking ones than the bright ones.I have a friend who always (well, a lot of the times) reads books with bright pink, colourful covers and it reminded me of her! But when I read an excerpt I was eager to start it and see how it went. And as you can see, It went well ;)

“And it’s like my mum always said, be with a man that ruins your lipstick, not your mascara.”

This is the first book I have read by Laura Barnard and she is from England woop! I love it when I find new authors from England I'm all like I know an author that live kinda.. close by *pats back* LOL.
I got stuck into this book and was looking forward to what would happen. There were a lot of things that I didn't expect and then there were others that were predictable such as certain things would come to light..it had to happen yet I was hoping it wouldn't.

Rose at the starting is a selfish brat and I thought I would end up hating her or getting really annoyed (that didn't happen though) , she doesn't know what true friends are and how family will always stick by you and how you should never let go of true love. She doesn't care for anyone's feelings at the start, she just wants what she thinks is best for her.As the novel continues she finds out that there is a lot more to the village and the friendships she has created here are ones that wouldn't use her or leave her. But in the end will she leave them?

“God, he’s hot. He’s making me stupid.”

We meet James before we meet William but as soon as I met William I was like yup that's the one I like! I do like a guy who is open with his emotions but I did feel at times he needed to be a bit closed. Is that weird? Haha I still really liked his character. The winking was odd but funny. And I really wanted James and Elsie to have their own book, I really want to know more about them especially James and the relationship between the brothers.

This book has a bit of everything, it had me laughing at some of the silly things Rose does, rolling my eyes, cringing, wanting to smack some sense into her and parts of this book also made my heart hurt. It's a fun book with a lot of heart.Oh and the fanny fart part was just hilarious!

My Review
4 Brilliant Stars!

Have I mentioned that I flove Belle Aurora? If you haven't read her books you are really missing out..BIG TIME! SO grab any one of her books and get reading. Okay yes, its been a long wait but Bella always makes it worth it.Another awesome book that made me smile so hard and even get a little emotional.

This is book 3 in the 'Friend-Zoned' Series and this one is about Max and Helena. You can read these books as stand-alones but why would you do that when you can start from book 1 and read all the way to this one.You have to read them all they will have you laughing out loud, swooning and falling in love.

We have met Max in the previous books and you see him as the funny, flirty one and a single- father who loves his little girl so much. We don't really see much of his serious side. It's heartbreaking seeing him struggle as a father at times and I wanted to reach into the book and hug him because he truly is an awesome father and he needed someone to strong to be with him, someone loving who could made his house, a home.

Helena is Nat's sister and we briefly meet her in 'Love Thy Neighbour'
I didn't know until later that her and Max would be paired up but I was looking forward to how it would all work out. Helena is just so funny!
I loved this part!!

"Firstly, old man, it's stub your toe.You need English lessons.Secondly, I stubbed it really bad that time.It was hanging by a thread! If I didn't use the Band-Aid when I did, not even plastic surgeon would have been able to save my pinkie toe."

Even Helena's dad was funny! Oh if I wrote down all the scenes I loved I would probably be spoiling the whole book since I did highlight a shit load.I loved all the supporting characters as well as the main ones, they are all so funny, quirky and they all form one big family bound by laughter and love.

Helena moves next door to Nat since she gets a new job close by and this is how Max meets Helena. But Helena isn't interested in him, or so she says. After meeting Max and being rejected on her sisters wedding she wants nothing to do with him.But fate has other plans..plans filled with laughter, love, family and even some tears.

He steps closer to me, his hand cupping my waist. "I want you.I want you more than anyone I've ever wanted in my life."

Can't wait for more in this series ;)

Blog Tour/Excerpt/Giveaway: Return to Poughkeepsie By Debra Anastasia

Summary

Beckett Taylor is a murderer. His calling, his craft are destruction and intimidation—whether he wants it that way now or not. He left Poughkeepsie to keep his brothers safe, to keep Eve safe. Set up with happy lives to live, they’re better off without him, right?

But all his willpower crumbles when he hears his brother Blake’s frantic voice on the phone. An unknown enemy has moved in on his old territory, and Livia’s been taken. In an instant, Beckett knows it will take an attack only he and Eve can execute to bring her back. All his self-imposed embargoes are torn to shreds, perhaps along with the new man he’s struggled to become.

“Brother, call Eve. I’ll be there soon.”

In this emotional and action-packed sequel to Poughkeepsie, Debra Anastasia conjures a tale of love at its most raw and ragged. With Beckett and Eve, how could we expect anything less? But even when it’s messy, not magical, true love perseveres. Real love finds a way—for better or for worse until death does part.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Excerpts

And yet she was all he could think about. When he was feeling gracious, he pictured her snuggled in a warm sweater under some lucky fuck’s arm.
And when he was feeling jealous, which was most of the goddamn time, he pictured her naked under some nameless three-pump chump. Being a girlfriend or a wife.
        God, please not a wife.
The pistol lay between his legs, the liquor sat in the seat next to him like a true friend.
       Do it, you pussy-headed motherfucker.
But the sky was too blue. And his hand kept shaking.
Beckett was afraid of the gun. It was more final than time. It wouldn’t erase the pain, and he was afraid that after his body was wasted, the only thing left would be fear. And he fucking despised fear.

****************************

Dear Kyle,
I see you crying when you don’t think I notice. I do. I see your eyes, red and glassy with the tears you halted because I came into the room.
I can’t give you the baby you want. Our love should be enough, but I feel it too. There’s a hole in between us when we hold hands. We’re feeling the loss of someone who has yet to even exist. Your smiles are getting smaller. When you look at me I want to give you more, I just don’t know how.
I remember when I first found your eyes, when I first realized you existed. I could hardly make my tongue work. My words were fuzzy, wrapped in cotton. When you were taken from me, I had so much rage. Such a burning need to place my hands on your face, I would have killed a million men to get to you. Kissing your lips, remembering you, safe in that hospital bed is a waterfall of relief for me still.
And then our wedding? Everything blue makes me want to touch you, taste your lips, see your skin wet in the shower.
How can something that isn’t happening come between us? When you’re reluctant to walk past a stroller, when you quickly change the channel to save your heart the sight of a chubby baby, I know you’re aching. You’re building wall, and only you fit behind it.
How can I show you I love you so much anyway? Will you ever understand that you’re just as important as a woman that can have a child? I’ll make love to you whenever you demand it. I’ll hold you tightly when you cry.
If it’s just us, Kyle, If that’s all there is, it’s enough for me. And if that thought makes you sad, then I’ll move heaven and hell until you see a future that you want to be in, smiling, with me. Just step into my arms, let me be here for you.

You’re not protecting me from your pain. I feel all of it, except I feel it alone when you won’t let me help. Come to me. Let me kiss your hair. Let me make love to you for no reason at all.

Author Bio

Debra Anastasia is busy, just like every other mom. There's dinner, the dogs, the kids, and their homework. The laundry pile turns into a big, heaping monster. When the clothes finally make it into the washer, it gets unbalanced and puts on an elaborate show before it cuts out. This crazy job that never ends is her first love and her crowning achievement.
Her writing started a decent handful of years ago when along with the dogs, cat, kids, and husband, the voices of characters started whispering stories in Debra's ear. Insomnia was the gateway for the plots that wouldn't give up, wouldn't let go. In the shower, a twist would take hold and--dripping and frenzied--she'd find somewhere, anywhere to write it down.
Debra grew up in New York and got a bachelor's degree in political science at SUNY New Paltz. At the start of her marriage, she moved to southern Maryland with her husband. She still doesn't trust crabs and all their legs, though everyone else in her family thinks they're delicious. Her favorite hobbies include knitting, painting furniture and wall murals, and slapping clowns.
Omnific Publishing published her debut novel, #1 on Kindle Best Seller’s list, Crushed Seraphim, and its sequel Bittersweet Seraphim about a cursing angel. They also bravely published Poughkeepsie, which a romance about a homeless man who counts the smiles of his dream girl. Poughkeepsie (Poughkeepsie #1)

He counts her smiles every day and night at the train station. And morning and evening, the beautiful commuter acknowledges him-just like she does everyone else on the platform. But Blake Hartt is not like the others . . . he's homeless. Memories of a broken childhood have robbed him of peace and twisted delusions into his soul. He stays secluded from the sun, sure the world would run from him in the harsh light of day. Each day, Livia McHugh smiles politely and acknowledges her fellow commuters as she waits for the train to the city. She dismisses this kindness as nothing special, just like her. She's the same as a million other girls-certainly no one to be cherished. But special or not, she smiles every day, never imagining that someone would rely on the simple gesture as if it were air to breathe. When the moment comes that Livia must do more than smile, without hesitation she steps into the fray to defend the homeless man. And she's surprised to discover an inexplicable connection with her new friend. After danger subsides, their smiles become conversation. Their words usher in a friendship, which awakens something in each of them. But it's not long before their bond must prove its strength. Entanglements from the past challenge both their love and their lives. Blake's heart beats for Livia's, even if her hands have to keep its rhythm. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love never fails. Love never fails, right? In an interwoven tale of unlikely loves and relationships forged by fire, Debra Anastasia takes readers into the darkest corners of human existence, only to show them the radiant power of pure adoration and true sacrifice. Complicated families and confused souls find their way to light in this novel, which manages to be racy, profane, funny, and reverent all at once.

 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Crushed Seraphim (Seraphim Series #1)

How does a foul-mouthed angel end up as the last hope for all of Heaven and Earth? When Seraph Emma is maimed and tossed from Heaven by a rogue angel who's taken charge, she fears she'll never be allowed to return. Tasked with the impossible job of showing the self-loathing (and not even human!) Jason his worth, Emma is sure she's doomed to fail. Meanwhile, having wormed his way into Heaven, the corrupt Everett has trapped God in Hell and has designs on unleashing evil everywhere. Fortunately, if there's one thing Emma can't do (in addition to minding her language), it's give up. Determined to save Jason and get back to Heaven-even if it means going to Hell-Emma's plan is simple yet impossible: trick the Devil to save God. What she doesn't count on is the devotion and, well, humanity she finds in Jason; the spirit, hidden compassion, and raw sex appeal within the Devil; and the vulnerability of her own heart. With the help of two unlikely allies, she'll wage the battle for Heaven. But will Emma be sidetracked by a new sort of heaven along the way? What's truly more dangerous? Falling from Heaven, or falling in love? Debra Anastasia has twisted a fast-paced tale of intimate relationships with literally universal impact. Rich with humor and electrified by attraction, this novel offers a playfully off-beat take on the good and evil that make up the world.

Bittersweet Seraphim (Seraphim Series #2)

Suffering is worst when you're doing it alone. But Emma's taking Hell like an angel-even though her languishing began with having her seraph wings torn from her back. Now her worst enemy lords his body and his evil desires over her while she tries desperately to remember the words to her favorite prayer. As Devil, Jack used to have Hell and its women humming like well-oiled machines. Too bad he's nowhere near the place now. Stuck on Earth as a human, he must work with a ragtag team of exiled minions and half-breeds to save the angel who's become all that matters. Rescuing a seraph is the plan, but breaking into Hell means letting evil things out. Once they collide, minions and angels converge in the battle of the ages: good versus evil. But which side is which? Will Jack destroy the world as he fights to save Emma, his true and timeless love, from a damnation he designed? An action-packed sequel to Crushed Seraphim, this tale reveals-time and again-what happens when the heart's deepest desires break free. With a story both sizzling and sensual, emotional and enigmatic, Debra Anastasia invites readers to join a battle with nothing less than love on the line.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
My Review
~~5 BEAUTIFUL, UNEXPECTED STARS!~~

Okayy what can I say? other than Belle you frikin rock!
After reading the synopsis and some teasers I already knew I would love this one as much as the friend-zoned series even though it was totally different there were still parts that were hilarious!

Nox walks forward to Rock, places a hand on his shoulder and asks in complete seriousness,"How about I run you a nice bubble bath?"

Rock shrugs his hand off harshly."Fuck you, motherfucker"

Delilah “Lily” Flynn has lived a very sheltered life with her overprotective father controlling her life. He says it's for her safety but what is it he is trying to protect her from, is she really in any danger? Unlike her sister Lily sticks to the rules and does what her father asks of her but what happens when she is taken from her bedroom..blindfolded..captured?
Her boring, safe and secure is no longer the same..

Nox job isn't to babysit anyone, he knew this job would be trouble so when he has a task of kidnapping and taking Lily to a safe house to protect her of the danger she is in things go from bad to chaos.Lily is a real piece of work and all he wants is for it all to be over with so he can do his normal work. Nox doesn't exist nobody knows him and its the only way he has this job, he can walk away and never be traced.

“Standing face to face with a still pissed Nox, I find myself getting pissed, too. Nox just has that effect on me. I swear this guy must’ve been conceived through back door action. There’s no way being that much of an asshole is natural.”

As much as Lily irritates him she also intrigues him, she isn't like any woman he has met and she captures his attention.
Lily finds comfort in the friends she makes during her captivity and doesn't want to let them go. With no idea where her parents and sister are and a death threat looming over her head what will she trust Nox to keep her safe?

“Can't help who you fall in love with, princess.”

Okay I loved Nox, Lily , Rock and Boo!! Omg Belle you create some brilliant characters! This book made me laugh, sob, swoon, jump up and down in joy and so much more. This book is in both Lily and Nox's POV which I loved as you get an insight on both characters which makes you love them even more.I was hooked from page one and I could not stop reading.

Dude, I would love for Rock and Boo to have a book I swear I would so buy it!! And do a happy dance ;) I loved Rock ohhh he made me laugh and I really wanted to be in his head C'mon now how brilliant would that be?!

Belle Aurora go get writing so I can read and love more of your books woman!

Review: Making Faces by Amy Harmon

Synopsis
Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you. The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was thirteen. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have...until he wasn't beautiful anymore.
Making Faces is the story of a small town where five young men go off to war, and only one comes back. It is the story of loss. Collective loss, individual loss, loss of beauty, loss of life, loss of identity. It is the tale of one girl's love for a broken boy, and a wounded warrior's love for an unremarkable girl. This is a story of friendship that overcomes heartache, heroism that defies the common definitions, and a modern tale of Beauty and the Beast, where we discover that there is a little beauty and a little beast in all of us

My Review
5 BEAUTIFUL, HEART-BREAKING, EMOTIONAL STARS!

"I think people are like that. When you really look at them, you stop seeing the perfect nose or straight teeth. You stop seeing the acne scar or the dimple in the chin. Those things start to blur, and suddenly you see them, the colors, the life inside the shell, and beauty takes on a whole new meaning."

Oh where do I start? This book made my heart-ache so bad and it really makes you view people ourselves differently. Are we so shallow that we love/idolise people based on how they look no matter how ugly they are deep down? Or that we hate and bully because we can't see the beauty deep down? or that we don't even give some people a chance to show their beauty because they don't have a perfect face and body?

This is a inspiring, brilliant book which rendered me speechless. It explores the aspect that a beautiful face doesn't necessarily mean a beautiful person. Are we truly blind can we not see the true beauty within? Do some people feel that an ugly person doesn't feel the same as a beautiful one?

To me everyone is beautiful in some way or another.Never judge someone by the face they wear. The beautiful good looking man can be an abusive evil person, and someone with a disfigured face may have a heart of gold, don't let looks fool you.

"If God makes all faces, did he laugh when he made mine?
Does he make the legs that cannot walk and eyes that cannot see?
Does he curl the hair upon my head til it rebels in wild defiance?
Does he close the ears of a deaf man to make him more reliant?
Is the way I look coincidence or just a twist of fate?
If he made me this way, is it okay, to blame him for the things I hate?
For the flaws that seem to worsen every time I see a mirror.
For the ugliness I see in me, for the loathing and the fear.
Does he sculpt us for his own pleasure, for a reason I can't see?
If God makes all our faces, did he laugh when he made me?

This poem right here really got to me! Its written by one of the main characters called Fern.Fern is not pretty or beautiful like her friend Rita who all the guys seem to chase after, she doesn't have straight hair or teeth, not an amazing body, nope none of that but she has a beautiful heart and soul.Fern has always had a crush on Ambrose but then again who wouldn't he was beautiful but Fern saw more than what met the eye.She fell for his intelligence, his heart, his mind and much more. But Fern never expected Ambrose to ever like her back, why would he?

Ambrose had it all, beauty, popularity, girls and he was the best at what he loved, wrestling. He had is all going in life until he decided to join the army and drag four of his good friends with him. What happens when his life in the army explodes and everything changes.
What happens when Ambrose isn't beautiful anymore?
What happens when he has no friends left?

"Ambrose knew what it felt like to be whole, to be perfect, to be Hercules. How cruel to suddenly fall from such heights. Life had given Ambrose another face and Fern wondered if he would ever be able to accept it."

Bailey is Ferns cousin and best friend they have always stuck by each other and I loved their relationship.Bailey has Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He may be bound by his wheelchair but this guy is a true hero. Bailey makes you think a lot about all the things we take for granted, about all the things we complain about. Are we really so blind that we don't see that there are people in worse conditions than you and me?

Imagine knowing that you will die before you get old?
Imagine living day to day life knowing death is around the corner.
Imagine knowing that you cant have a relationship, or a family because you really wont be around for long.

"How do you stand it, Bailey? Looking death in the face for so long?"
Bailey shrugged and glanced at him curiously.
"You act like death is the worst thing."

Bailey has always wanted to be a wrestler, his dad is the coach and even though he cant wrestle he always comes to every practice.Bailey thinks of Ambrose as his hero, what he would do to be in Ambrose's shoes for just one day. To do all the things he can do, even if it is just for one day. After Ambrose's life changes Bailey teaches him a lot, about living in the moment, about never taking things for granted. I felt so sorry for Bailey I really wanted to have the power to give him what he wanted for a day ahh I wanted to curl up into a ball and scream why is life so unfair!?

"I have no pride left, Ambrose!" Bailey said. "No pride. But it was my pride or my life. I had to choose. So do you. You can have your pride and sit here and make cupcakes and get old and fat and nobody will give a damn after awhile. Or you can trade that pride in for a little humility and take your life back."

When Ambrose returns Fern wants to help him, everything has changed yet she still finds him beautiful. Ambrose is filled with guilt, shame, self hatred and he just can't get over is. He can't face everyone, the people who idolised him, the people who wanted him to succeed and those who always thought he would do them proud.

"You are still beautiful," Fern said softly, her face turned to his..
"I think that statement is more a reflection of your beauty than mine," Ambrose said eventually..

Fern is just so damn cute as a kid awww bless her heart she is so damn beautiful with such a pure heart. She has been kicked down by people around her yet she walks through life with a smile.fern and Ambrose form a special relationship she understands him..she used to feel the same thing. She used to feel ugly too.

Three lives all connected, these three main characters take you on an inspirational journey..So grab some tissues and start reading!

"..Maybe then I could get some action.Problem is, how am I going to get a handful of tit if I can't lift my arms?"
Ambrose choked, laughing at Bailey's irreverence, but Bailey continued, unfazed.

Omg I loved this book, it was sweet, funny, so damn emotional and bloody beautiful! At the start I was like hmmm third person POV oh no! I prefer first person POv so the start I felt was a little slow and the flipping from past to present had me a little confused but as soon as I got into it ahh I could not stop!
This is the first book I have read by Amy Harmon and it wont be the last. This was very well written and I am so glad I got an arc.

"Do you think about how I look when you kiss me?"
"Yes." His voice was raspy."I think about your long red hair and your sweet mouth, and the way your little body feels when its pressed up against me, and I just want to put my hands on you.Everywhere.And I forget that I am ugly and alone and confused as hell."
