Review: Pulse (Collide #2) By Gail McHugh

Synopsis

How do you keep existing when your heart is so splintered, so completely torn to shreds, your pulse is fading?

You’re…broken. How do you move forward when every breath is nothing more than a constant ache? Living becomes an insidious reminder that you threw away the single largest part of yourself. Your…soul. No amount of distraction can pull you from the torture of losing your…life.

Now that Emily Cooper has walked away from her first love, she finds herself running toward her only love. Unraveling fast, but clinging to hope, Emily risks all she has left on the man that has consumed her every thought and dream since the day they met. Will Gavin take her back? And if so, will their reunion be a collision of two hearts destined to complete one another and rekindle a love that knew no boundaries? Or will scars from their past rip open, tearing slowly at what each of them was meant to be? Can fate, the ultimate game changer, mend the shattered road it laid out from the start?

Only time will tell…

Tick-Tock…

My Review

5 Gavin loving, crazy, swoon-worthy stars!!

I loved this book I could not put it down I had to find out what would happen! It feels like I have been waiting ages for this book especially because the ending of collide left me dying to read this..I should just wait for all the books to be out and avoid cliffhangers but no I just cant seem to do that..so damn impatient!

“We were written for one another, and I wouldn't change one line in our romance novel. The good, the bad, the in between. It's ours. We own it.”

I think I only read this book for my Gavin (Yes mine). I felt damn sorry for him in book 1..whilst reading this book things changed (Gavin is still hot and amazing and so on) but I actually warmed to Emily's character.
She bloody annoyed me so much in Collide and yes there were several times I wanted to smack her!
And Dillon urgh.. dickward Dillon I hated him so much and it only got worse.. I swear he drove me mental (in the worst way possible) I wanted to rip his head off and punch him where it would hurt!

This book starts off where Collide ended Emily decides she doesn't want to marry Dillon and goes to find Gavin. But Gavin isn't there, totally heartbroken Gavin has left the country and cut all contact from everyone..
When Emily finds out and goes after him what will she find?
Will Gavin forgive her or has she ruined what they had together..

"I was ready to take that plunge and never look back. Never. I was ready to risk everything for you, to push away the overwhelming fear I had because I knew you and I are worth it. We fell in love in a second. I was barely able to blink, and you had my entire world upside-down. I was scared you weren’t… real. I was scared no one could be as magnetic as you are to me. It still scares me. You still scare me.”

I am so glad that this separation didn't drag on because that would have annoyed me.It was fast and got to the point quickly..they wanted to be together but there was alot of work to be done to get their relationship back on track.

"I’m going to break you, Emily Cooper. I’m going to break you down and slowly build you back up. Second by second, piece by piece, and memory by memory, I’m going to make you realize you’re worth what I’m going to give to you. If I have to open a dictionary every day and make you stare at the word ‘worth,’ I’ll do it.”

Ohhh the twists and turns I did not expect in this book!
It was a great read I want more Gavin..Can you ever really have too much Gavin? No! yeah that's what I thought!!
I loved how forgiving he was and I didn't blame him for his reactions to some of the stuff that happened..he deserved more!
I am soo glad this was a happy ending Yay!

.“The thought of not seeing your eyes when I wake up, or not hearing your heart next to me while you are asleep made me sick. With all of that, I decided no, I can't go another day without you. I don't want to go another day without you”
