Review:Fever Dream (BDSM Ballet #2) By Annabel Joseph

Book 1- Waking Kiss: My Review
Book 2- Fever Dream

Synopsis
Petra Hewitt’s the top ballerina in the world, and The Great Rubio her obvious counterpart, so why does she want to strangle him whenever he’s around? He’s haughty, abrupt, demanding—and alarmingly sexy. Petra knows Rubio is dangerous to her heart, to her peace of mind, and worst of all, to her career, but his rough flirtation compels her. When she gets a chance to play with him at a BDSM party, their professional partnership takes a feverish left turn.

After that, any attempts to keep him at arm’s length falter in the face of his obstinate sexuality. Rubio’s methods are ruthlessly erotic as he introduces her to the pleasures of sadism, bondage, pain, and submission. The more Petra tries to resist him, the more she craves his strength and control.

But as they play their sensual games of dominance and submission, career pressures mount, and an overzealous fan brings dangerous tension to their relationship. Soon, the dream gives way to the stark reality of her vulnerability. Maybe, just maybe, some risks are too terrifying to take.

My Review
4 RUBIO LOVING, HOT, BRAZILIAN STARS!

This is the second installment of the BDSM Ballet series but can be read as a standalone. In book 1 Waking Kiss the story focused on Liam and Ashleigh and Rubio played a supporting role. This book is Rubio's story I guess it was time for an insight on Rubio's life. I absolutely adored him in Waking Kiss even though he was big-headed, horny and obnoxious. He made me laugh and a lot of times some times I wanted to slap him for being an idiot but overall he was definitely a lovable character. There was always more to him than his behaviour and I couldn't wait to explore.

“I can’t stand her,” he said to Ashleigh as soon as they brought her up. “Really, she is the biggest bitch ever.” “Ruby,” Ash chided. “ heard she’s really nice.” “She’s about as nice as someone who kicks dogs and drinks baby’s blood.”

The book starts off and you find out that Ashleigh is having a baby and won't be doing ballet anymore which shocks Rubio, he is upset and angry about losing his partner.Finding a new partner with Rubio acting like a child is close to impossible until Petra walks in.To he shock she finds out that "The Great Rubio" doesn't know anything about her arrival and doesn't want her as a partner.

"Me and my big feet do not want to dance with you," Fernando snapped."I need a partner with grace and lyrical beauty. Not a big-forehead robot like you."

Petra is a new character who is a great dancer, she wants to get away from her past from the shadows cast by her father who is a legend in Ballet and wants nothing to do with Petra. Most of her life she has been trying to get her fathers attention yet he has never once looked at her as a daughter.Trying to start in a new place with a partner like Rubio who frustrates her isn't something she wanted but she will do her best and get through it. She just has to make sure she doesn't fall in love with him because that would be the worst thing. She can't be like her mother and go through what she went through.

What are you up to now?" she asked in the lengthening silence.

.I wish I was up your pussy, he thought.

This book made me laugh and fall in love with Rubio especially knowing what he went through and how he got so far, his relationship with his mother and well he is all round brilliant!

“You have sad, horny eyes.” – Rubio

“I do not have sad horny eyes. That’s not even a thing. Some crazy shit comes out of your mouth, you know that?” – Petra

Petra annoyed me I really wanted to shake her and scream Wake Up!! to her because well..she needed to wake the hell up and stop living in the past. She kept pushing Rubio away and all it did was piss me off. There was a lot more BDSM scenes in this one than book 1 I think and you see the dominant Rubio the one in control. He had a tough childhood and it all shows. He likes control due to not having any throughout his childhood. He acts immature at times and you are like wtf man? But if you look at it through his eyes he didn't exactly have a normal childhood/teenage life he had to grow up fast and now that he has money, power, control he feels ahh so what if I act immature! ;)

I really enjoyed being in Rubio's head and in the end I didn't end up hating Petra so that's a plus. Ending was brilliant and overall this is a good book!
