My Review

2.5 Stars!

So after finishing a series I was left in a book funk and to try get out of it I picked this book up thinking I needed something sweet and straight forward which yes this kind of was but there were too many points where it didn't work for me. I've had this sitting in my kindle app for ages and after seeing some 5 star reviews maybe I expected too much?

"Everything in my life was insignificant until I met you, and now you are all that matters."

I thought this would be a little more alpha male book with more story I guess. As I was reading I felt like the main characters did have chemistry and that was all good yet it went so quickly the relationship even though they had known each other for a year we didn't get to know much about that year or about Nick as a person. I didn't feel like it had that gradual building up of character or personality that I as a reader fall for. I didn't feel connected to him which was a real shame.

Julianne Becker the heroine did some stupid things that really annoyed me and at one point I was going to stop reading it all together. Her friend? He just pissed me off. That's all I have to say about him to be honest. I felt she was way too obsessed with this boss but hey I guess it can happen *shrugs* I don't think this was a book fr me or it may just have been the mood I was in at the time but don't let me opinions keep you from reading this may be a book you end up enjoying!

My Review

2.5-3 Stars!

This is book 3 in the Born in Blood series and after reading Dante's book I jumped to this one because I was enjoying this series. This is about Matteo, Luca's brother and Aria's sister. We all know Gianna is adamant that she will not marry and Matteo is determined to marry her at whatever cost. You find out in the previous book in this series that Gianna has ran away and in this one we get a lot more insight. I'm glad we got some of Matteo's point of view in this one or else I would have gone crazy.

Matteo to Luca..
"Stop hovering. People will think you're my sugar daddy."

I was really looking forward to getting more of Matteo but not so excited with the thought of having the book taken over by Gianna, who even though we weren't told a lot on the bits I read made it quite clear how immature and impulsive she was.Her being so against anything Mafia related was one thing but her all out stubbornness, pride and stupid decisions just all out annoyed me. She was loud and said what was on her mind until the moment she was actually supposed to speak up she was quiet!

We arrived at Luca's car. He opened the door for me.
"Don't think I'll put out just because you're being a gentleman;"...
"Don't worry your backdoor is safe."

Haha Matteo was great, I wanted more of his and his pov but with maybe more insight on his past or life in general I felt like I didn't get enough. This was such a quick read for me just like the previous books in the series because I zoomed through them.Even if something the characters did bothered me I could not stop reading and the endings get to me. I fee like they all end abruptly, I need a little bit more and it's like it takes the whole book for things to solve and then boom the end. I still want more and will be carrying on with this series. I'm curious to see how Liliana's story will unravel and I'm looking forward to more action hopefully.

Review: The Mighty Storm (The Storm #1) by Samantha Towle

Synopsis

It's been twelve years since Tru Bennett last saw Jake Wethers, her former best friend and boy she once loved.

Jake Wethers, sexy, tattooed and deliciously bad lead singer, and brains behind The Mighty Storm, one of the biggest bands in the world, left Tru with a broken heart when he moved from England to America with his family when they were both fourteen.

Sent to interview Jake for her music column by the magazine she works for, they are both unprepared for the sparks that fly the instant they reconnect. Only, there’s a complication to their instant feelings for one another—Will, Tru’s boyfriend of two years.
Then Jake makes Tru a job offer she can't refuse—travelling the world with him and his band. But taking the job means leaving Will behind, and being on the road with the band means spending an inordinate amount of time with Jake.

Is Tru strong enough to resist the delectable bad boy who once held her heart so completely, or will she willingly risk it all for one night with the world's most notorious womanizer?

My Review

2.5 Stars?

*Sigh*

I don't know where to start with this one. After seeing all these 5 star reviews I was excited to jump into a book that I assumed I would maybe love? Maybe I expected too much? But this definitely didn't turn out how I thought it would.

There were parts of this book I enjoyed but there were more parts that really pissed me off. I wish someone would have told me that it consisted of cheating and a "Bella-type-girl" who can not bloody decide between two guy.She says she knows which one she wants yet she still clings onto the other. Bitch, you can not have them both. This was just the beginning of my journey of hate for Tru. It just got worse from there. What happened to communicating?

Jake on the other hand I quite liked, bad boy rockstar.Yup I had no complaints with him, or I just cant see past the whole Tru issue. This one just wasn't for me which is really disappointing. But hey this is my opinion and everyone has different taste, you may end up really enjoying it!

I doubt I will be carrying on with the series but I'm not ruling this author out, I may check out other books she writes in the future.

"I wear my scars, they don’t wear me"

Oh and I love this ^

If you have read this book I'd love to know what you thought, good or bad!

Review: Addicted (Ethan Frost, #2) By Tracy Wolff

Book 1- Ruined (Ethan Frost#1) ---> My Review

Synopsis
Ethan Frost returns in the breathtaking conclusion to New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Tracy Wolff’s seductive novel Ruined—perfect for fans of Release Me and Bared to You.

As Chloe Girard discovers, there’s love . . . and then there’s addiction.

Ethan Frost is everything a woman could want in a man. He’s rich, gorgeous, powerful, one of the most eligible bachelors in the world.

But that’s not why I’m with him.

I love Ethan for all the things no one else gets to see: his innate kindness, his reckless spontaneity, his unwavering determination to use his brilliance for good. I love the way he looks at me, the way he touches me. The way he makes me forget the wreckage of my past and the twisted fear that still lives inside me.

But sometimes it terrifies me how much I crave him, how much I need him just to breathe. I always thought it would be my past that ruined us, but there’s a darkness in Ethan I never dreamed existed. Can we survive as his secrets surface—threatening to unravel us both?

My Review

2.5-3 Stars!!

'Ethan Frost loves me the same way I love him.Wildly,completely,absolutely.'

*Sigh* I really wanted to love this book. I really did. After the cliffhanger from book 1 and i really did enjoy Ruined as a whole I was expecting a lot more from this book.I feel like it's not finished, that there is still more to come.I was hoping to see how the characters coped, more development and to see how it would all work out.

'He tastes like the ocean and feels like it too.Powerful, violent, infinite.I want to immerse myself in him, to drown in him.And I want this kiss-this feeling- to go on forever.'

Everything was going well for Ethan and Chloe and for the first time Chloe felt safe enough to open up about her past.Ethan has always made her feel safe and protected but what happens when the truth shatters her? What happens when the man she thinks can save her is the brother of the man who destroyed her?

A lot of things were left half way. What happened to Brandon, that issue is not really solved and if it is I didn't find closure I needed, I wanted to know exactly what happened to him.I wanted to know that he wouldn't hurt anyone again because of so and so..he being run over by a car..possibly? Anything! I wanted him punished.

'Ethan Frost is my addiction. He's the itch just below my skin. The fire that skates along my every nerve ending. He is the craving I just can't shake.'

Ethan tries to protect the woman he is in love by not telling her what he knows. It's like every time he thinks he is doing something right it ends up being a cause of another fallout. He finds out that you can't protect a person when you hide the truth and take it upon yourself to sort out.I loved Ethan, loved him in book 1 and still love him in book 2! I feel sorry for him its like everything he did seemed to come back to bite him.All he wanted was to protect Chloe and all it did was hurt her.I felt that Chloe was harsh to him, you don't choose your family and even though I understand her situation I wanted to scream at her that its not Ethan's fault! Give the man a break!

It was constant pattern of there being a problem which leads to Chloe running away, Chloe's boring mind and then making up and back to the start. Vicious cycle.I hated being in Chloe's head her inner dialogue was just too slow and boring for me.It was the same thing over and over again I felt so frustrated with her.I think if this was in dual POV it would have balanced it out and maybe I wouldn't have been so annoyed at Chloe.I'd loved to have gotten more of an insight to Ethan's side and how he was coping and so on.

My Review

2.5-3 Crazy Long Stars!!

I stopped reading this when I first started as I just couldn't take the whole love triangle thing even though everyone claimed its not really a love triangle well it pissed me off so I stopped and told myself I would go back and try to finish it off one day. That day was a few days ago after finishing an amazing book I decided to get back to this one. And since my break things had changed because at the start I don't even know why but I liked Seth and I was annoyed that Emma had feelings for both the guys and so on.Coming back to it I was like..I liked Seth? Why the fuck did I like him? what a pushy pussy..ohh he annoyed me.

And with these situations when the main female character has feelings for more than one character I have a feeling called fukin-pissed-off! I hate it and I instantly hate the female character wanting to punch her in the tits and make her understand that she is confusing me and should have feelings for only one character. I AM JUST A SIMPLE GIRL WHY DYA HAVE TO MAKE THIS HARD ON ME?

Nick was the only good thing about this book he wasn't settled down didnt have a great job but he was fun and loving. Emma and Nick needed to spit out the truth and be upfront about their feelings oh it would have saved sooo much time and then we could have got rid of Seth right?

After falling for Nicks character, I was totally uninterested in Seth's character. This book has all three characters POVs I dont usually mind more than one POV but this became too much for me. Whenever it got to Seths POV I was like...

By the end I was like phew okay so on to the next book because I do want more Nick.Lets hope things get better ;)

My Review

2.5-3 Crazy Biker Stars!!

okay I think this is the first MC book I have read so I have nothing to compare it to so I have decided to check out a few more when i have the time.Anyone want to recommend some of their favs? I'm up for that. There was a lot of things I was like whaaat?! Most of them regarding the rules of the club.

It all starts off when you meet Harlow who is the Ravage MC’s “Princess”.She has been locked up for 2 years for a crime she didn't commit. She was framed and now that she is out she wants revenge.

“I may have a pussy, but I ain’t one. I’ve got bigger balls than most guys out there. Even though I’ll never be a member of the club, because it’s not possible, I always hold my head up high.."

When she comes back to the club to meet her family she has a run in with Cruz who she hasn't met before. He takes a liking to her, okay that's an understatement its basically instant love which I didn't really get.He hardly knew her i found that weird and then he decides to act like she is his and no one else can have her.Its like uhmm..does she even have a choice here?

"Princess" has a rule though, she doesn't sleep with brothers, no way does she want to be a club whore.Being around the club her whole life she has seen most of the guys do their worst and there has been a lot of cheating. She can't put up with that and cant risk the tension that would ensue if she was with a brother and things went bad.She wont share her man and will never be just a piece of meat any of the brother can take from.

Cruz doesn't chase after women, none have ever mattered to him.The ups and turns in his life have left him pretty alone but joining the club changed things. He fits in here and somehow he knows that Harlow fits into his life.he wont let her get away now he has to get her to see things his way, see how good they would be together.

“I stared at the smart, beautiful women before me. There were no words that could describe the way I felt about her. Love didn’t seem to be enough. Sole mate seemed to pussy-ish to say. But something. Some deeper connection was happening with us.”

I enjoyed the twists and some unexpected parts and I ended up reading this pretty quickly.Oh and have you seen the cover? Ahh love it!:D
I liked how Harlow was respected by all the guys in a way because of the way she was. They are all like family to her and they would do anything to protect her.

I'm all for badass heroines but I don't know why Harlow's inner dialogue just annoyed me at times. I think by the ending i kind of warmed up to her but I just felt something missing.I felt like things moved way too quickly with the relationship between Cruz and Princess to other aspects of the book.I didn't feel much of a connection between Cruz and Harlow which left me rather disappointed.

Erotic/Suspense/Romance

*This book is intended for mature audiences*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

My Review

2.5-3 Hmm Okay Stars

Lily Hayes is a 3rd grade teacher who ends up with all the wrong guys.

men who cheat - check
men who are bad in bed - check
men who who don't know how to treat a woman- check

After catching her ex-bf cheating on her she is in a bit of a slump.her life is quite boring all she has is her job or random times she goes out with her best friend and with no guy in her life everything seems a little dull.

On a night out with her crazy loud mouthed best friend a stranger catches her eyes. She can't get him out of her head, hot, powerful and he dominates the room. She meets the stranger again when she heads out to grab a snack. She can't seem to believe how perfect he seems to be, obviously there has to be some sort of catch right?

Kelvin Carter Jr. seems to be perfect, he has it all and he knows how to treat a lady right..the catch you say? Well he may be the son of a notorious mob boss. That changes things right? Yup now the question is how is he meant to tell Lily this without losing her? I was getting annoyed at him at this point and screaming TELLL HEERRRRR!!!
There are a few twists which I thought were the best parts.I wanted Kelvin to be more in control and less controlled by the mob in a way he seemed to have something lacking in my opinion.

It was okay but it just didn't blow me away, I wanted it to grip me and so much more!
I didn't really feel connected with the characters..I liked her friend she was funny but she had her moments where I just wanted her to shut it and quit being so loud.

Most of the book is in Lilly's POV but we get parts of Kelvin and we get to see his side. I don't know what it was but hey here I was thinking it would have a lot more badass mob stuff in it which it really didn't, left me rather disappointed but maybe there will be more insight to the mob side of it in book 2?

oh oh Kelvin giggles.. are you fukin kiddin me?..sorry i just don't like it. A hot, strong, powerful man and then he giggles, totally killed it! haha
I felt like the conversation and them together was quite awkward at times and that made me uncomfortable, they just didn't mesh well.I wanted more chemistry!

There were parts that I enjoyed and thought oh this is going to get good but overall it just didn't pull me in, I very doubt I will read book 2 but hey that's just me, don't let my review put you off it coz it looks like a lot of other people enjoyed it.All them 5 stars is what made me think this would be awesome! pshtt
