Review: Elite (Eagle Elite, #1) by Rachel Van Dyken

Synopsis
When I won the annual Eagle Elite College Scholarship lottery, I was thrilled. After all, my grandma had just died and I wanted to take care of my aging grandpa -- he couldn't be a farmer in Wyoming forever. And graduating from Eagle Elite meant opportunity.

But I wasn't counting on meeting Nixon.

Nor was I counting on the rules of the Elect.

1. Do not touch The Elect.
2. Do not look at The Elect.
3. Do not speak to The Elect.

And worst of all? Don't discover the secret they hide, because in the end, you may just realize... it's about you.

*This is a New Adult Book, blood, violence, cursing, sexual references, and drug use. Not recommended for those under 17.*

My Review
4 Elite Stars!!

Okay I am kicking myself for not reading this sooner! A friend of mine had been telling me to read it for a while and I blew it off, just not really giving it much thought and then I realised that I requested this book from NetGalley ages ago and never got round to it. I decided to finally put me foot down and get reading. I remember starting a few pages but I was in a book funk and gave up to try again at a later time. Right now I have my reading mojo back and I was totally ready for it. I actually really enjoyed it and will definitely be reading on.

This is book 1 of Eagle Elite series and its got the whole mafia/criminal family thing going on which I had no idea about. My preconceived idea of this book was that it was some sort of spy/agent book? A school to train people in powers? Okay I can feel you all thinking what the hell? ..I don't even know what to say *shrugs* I guess I should stop assuming things.

"Maybe the world isn't as shiny and fun as you once thought. People are mean. Humanity is a cruel joke, Trace. I'm just trying to prevent them from getting the last laugh."

So the book, lets get back to the book. Trace is starting Eagle Elite College which is basically a college for the rich kids or those that will make the next presidents and so on. Trace is nothing like these people and the only reason she is here is because she won some sort of lottery that the college holds so one lucky winner gets to attend the college with all the rich people and so on.Trace is so out of her depth and it only gets worse when she meets Nixon and his crew who basically own the school and create all the rules. From then on things don't exactly go smoothly.

“—Nope. You’ve already broken a rule. I’m speaking, New Girl.” Chase smirked. “Geez, Nixon, this one’s going to be hard to break in.”
“They always are,” Nixon replied, lifting my chin with his hand. “But I think I’ll enjoy this one.”

Nixon, oh Nixon at the start I was like what the hell? Why are you so mean! But with all assholes you end up loving them in the end. Well actually is went more like me hating him to liking him to feeling lost and losing interest in him and just not knowing how I feel. I liked him as a bad boy or more of the guy in charge. On another note I got this feeling of a love triangle which I thought or was hoping didn't exist but now I'm a little miffed and seriously don't want the next book to be a full n love triangle because they usually really irritate me and someone always gets hurt and i start hating the girl for loving two men. Like please woman, stop being greedy!

Okay I'm going to quit ranting and get onto book 2, lets hope all goes well and it only gets better since I have heard a lot of people love this series. I want to be one of those people! ;)

My Review
3 Stars!!

"We've never been over. You know it as well as I do. Even when I was halfway around the world and you hated my guts, we weren't over. You can feel it between us now. And the closer we are, the stronger it gets."

Okay why did I think this was a standalone? Why do I never pay attention to these things? Pft! Well I finished this one and I know that the majority of the reviews I have seen are rated 5 star but I'm really not sure what to rate mine.
I think this book really needed at least some parts with Ethan's POV. I swear that would have been so useful. Throughout this book we flipped from past to future, is it just me who liked things to go in order.Like simple few flashbacks are fine but the constant back and forth really didn't do it for me.I wanted it to start from when the main characters are introduced to each other and show their dysfunctional relationship then skip a few years until they meet again.

I really liked the writing and it made me want to read on.There were some quite funny parts which is an obvious plus and also the chemistry between the main characters, I loved.There was passion, raw emotions, heartbreak, love and a second-chance? Who knows what will happen and how the story will continue.

"I want things to be different. If you want me to apologize, I'll do it until I lose my fucking voice. I just want things to be right between us. Talk to me. Help me fix this."

I'm not a fan of lots of push and pull, so one person begging for the other one and the not being together even though both the characters want to be together. Why do people not want to be happy? I like happy okay! I'm still trying to gather my thoughts on this one. I just didn't feel as connected to the story and characters as I like to be. And it did cause the book to drag for me, I don't usually take this long to read a book.

Came back to it and it 2.5 for the lack of connection but then there were parts that I enjoyed so I would overall give it 3 Stars.I really wish I could give it higher ratings but it just wasn't one for me.Even though I didn't love it you just might soo if it looks like something you would enjoy. do give it a shot and I hope it turns out better for you! :)

Review: Isn't She Lovely (Redemption 0.5) By Lauren Layne

Synopsis

The rules are clear—until they're broken. Lauren Layne puts a New Adult spin on Pygmalion, also the inspiration for Pretty Woman, and gives the classic love story its edgiest twist yet.

"Who knew that pretending you're not falling for someone would be so much more difficult than pretending that you are?"

Stephanie Kendrick gave up her whole summer to ace her NYU film school screenwriting course, so she's pissed to be stuck with a preppy, spoiled frat boy as her writing partner. Then again, with her piercings, black-rimmed eyes, and Goth wardrobe, Stephanie isn't exactly Ethan Price's type, either. He's probably got his eye on some leggy blonde with a trust fund... or does he?

As the summer scene kicks off in the Hamptons, Ethan is desperate to make his snobbish mother forget the pedigreed girl who broke his heart. While Stephanie's a stretch as a decoy, the right makeover and a pastel cardigan just might do the trick. She may not love the idea of playing Ethan's brainless Barbie girlfriend, but the free rent and luxurious digs make a tempting offer. So does the promise of a ready-made screenplay idea inspired by their charade.

But when Stephanie steps into Ethan's privileged world, the "acting" begins to feel all too real. The kissing and touching that were intended to fool the Hamptons crowd wind up manipulating "them." And Stephanie faces a question she's too afraid to ask: Is Ethan falling for the real her or for the dolled-up princess he wants to see?

 My Review
3.5 Cute Stars!!

I liked this book, it's been on my kindle for a while and I just never got round to reading it.I saw that a lot of my goodreads friends had rated it well so I thought why not? Since I decided to clear up my arcs and well..most the books on my kindle because I have too many now and I really don't don't know how I will get through them all with more awesome books being released.

“Instead of the carefree, find-myself summer I envisioned, I’ll be spending the next three months with my own life-sized Ken doll.”

So I got started with this one and I realised I did not know what it was about so I went and skimmed the synopsis on GRs..obviously I suck at skimming through stuff because what I read was so not what the synopsis said. I may have been half asleep haha so in my head there was going to be some goth guy and blah blah I got it the wrong way around. I was just like hmm so where is this goth boy..whaat its a girl? Wtf did I read on Goodreads?

Anyways this was a quick fun read with a bit of everything I would definitely recommend it to anyone who love light cute reads with a happily ever after!
I liked both main characters and loved the dual POV.Yes I am a big fan of dual POVS when they are done right and this so was! You get an insight to both characters and find out their inner struggles and much more. Ethan and Stephanie had a connection and chemistry I felt like it was drawn out a little, the back and forth.I just wanted them to get together already.I was screaming in my mind - Claim your woman Ethan!!!..see why I love alpha male books? ;)

This is a well written New Adult and it had my turning pages.I wanted to know what would happen next even though I kinda knew what would happen.And I love a HEA and this was fab and I finished it with a big smile on my face!

This is an old review of mine that was on my GoodReads but I forgot to add to my blog!

My Review

3 cute, fun filled stars!

When I got this book it did remind me of What happens in Vegas at the start but anyways this was short and fun.I knew what would happen in this book well main bits anyways the title gives it away!

It all start off when Megan wakes up in a strange bed with a man and finds out that she married him. Connor remembers what happened the night before as for Megan everything is a little fuzzy and she doesn't remember why she would marry someone she had just met.She wants a divorce whilst Connor wants to make the marriage work.

I enjoyed the book I liked how it was funny and cute!I needed a quick book to read and this is what i picked out.There were parts that annoyed me like how distrustful Megan was,I understood her past made her how she is but C'mon now! Connor was funny but he never wanted to see what he felt for Megan he was too busy creating the perfect marriage.

“Life isn't about getting everything you want the instant you want it.Some thing are worth waiting for.”

Both Megan and Connor have past issues that they need to work on which causes the marriage to have its ups and downs.This book is in both Megan and Connor's POV which helps give you better understanding of both characters.

“Connor looking at the text he sent Jeff the night before:

8:42pm..Reed:Need you to go to Denver w me.
8:46pm..Jeff: in meeting. give me 1 hr.
8:53pm..Reed: no can do. want wife back. going now. think i cn talk her into it wth sperm.

Hell.Please don't let him have called her.

8:53pm..Jeff: R U drinking?
8:55pm..Reed: have wht she wants. solllid plan. better than hers.

9:02pm..Reed: don't worry botu it.
9:02pm..Jeff: WAIT 4 ME.
9:04pm..Jeff: PICKUP YOU PHONE

My Review
3 Black Box Stars!!

I have had this arc for a while and finally got round to it. I don't know what it was I thought would happen in this book but its really wasn't anything like i was expecting. I thought it was well written yet at times I felt like its was too slow for me, it dragged at times and I wanted it to pick up speed.I loved how this book was unique and the synopsis really draws you in.

This book alternates between Crush and Mikki's POV so we get to know both the characters as individuals and what is happening in their life.I always love dual POVs since I feel like it makes you feel more connected to both characters and you don't feel as frustrated with their actions because you can kind of see where they are coming from.

I don’t believe in coincidence or fate

But I know one thing for sure
Your face was meant to be
Burned into the deepest reaches
Of my blackest memories.

Mikki's POV was written really well and it was pretty depressing being in her head. She wanted to die, she had finally had enough.Totally felt what she was feeling yet I wanted to reach in and change it all. Scream that she couldn't kill herself, keep fighting!It was like no hope left and then in walks Crush and things start looking up.Pieces start joining together and we find about how they met before and what happened in the past to change both their lives.

I loved Crush! Bless him, he was so patient and loving.He also had a rough past, one that still haunts him but Mikki changed his life a few years back. He just didn't know who she was at that point.But another meeting, different circumstances and fate pushing to make them meet. What will happen? Will it all end in tragedy?

“...not all stories have happy endings; but that doesn't mean they're not worth the read.”

Overall it was okay but I don't think it was a book for me. I didn't really that connected to the characters and wanted more from the ending.This is the first book I have read by Cassia Leo and since lots of her books have been recommended to me I will check them out and see how they go!

Review: Addicted (Ethan Frost, #2) By Tracy Wolff

Book 1- Ruined (Ethan Frost#1) ---> My Review

Synopsis
Ethan Frost returns in the breathtaking conclusion to New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Tracy Wolff’s seductive novel Ruined—perfect for fans of Release Me and Bared to You.

As Chloe Girard discovers, there’s love . . . and then there’s addiction.

Ethan Frost is everything a woman could want in a man. He’s rich, gorgeous, powerful, one of the most eligible bachelors in the world.

But that’s not why I’m with him.

I love Ethan for all the things no one else gets to see: his innate kindness, his reckless spontaneity, his unwavering determination to use his brilliance for good. I love the way he looks at me, the way he touches me. The way he makes me forget the wreckage of my past and the twisted fear that still lives inside me.

But sometimes it terrifies me how much I crave him, how much I need him just to breathe. I always thought it would be my past that ruined us, but there’s a darkness in Ethan I never dreamed existed. Can we survive as his secrets surface—threatening to unravel us both?

My Review

2.5-3 Stars!!

'Ethan Frost loves me the same way I love him.Wildly,completely,absolutely.'

*Sigh* I really wanted to love this book. I really did. After the cliffhanger from book 1 and i really did enjoy Ruined as a whole I was expecting a lot more from this book.I feel like it's not finished, that there is still more to come.I was hoping to see how the characters coped, more development and to see how it would all work out.

'He tastes like the ocean and feels like it too.Powerful, violent, infinite.I want to immerse myself in him, to drown in him.And I want this kiss-this feeling- to go on forever.'

Everything was going well for Ethan and Chloe and for the first time Chloe felt safe enough to open up about her past.Ethan has always made her feel safe and protected but what happens when the truth shatters her? What happens when the man she thinks can save her is the brother of the man who destroyed her?

A lot of things were left half way.What happened to Brandon, that issue is not really solved and if it is I didn't find closure I needed, I wanted to know exactly what happened to him.I wanted to know that he wouldn't hurt anyone again because of so and so..he being run over by a car..possibly? Anything! I wanted him punished.

'Ethan Frost is my addiction.He's the itch just below my skin. The fire that skates along my every nerve ending.He is the craving I just can't shake.'

Ethan tries to protect the woman he is in love by not telling her what he knows.It's like every time he thinks he is doing something right it ends up being a cause of another fallout.He finds out that you can't protect a person when you hide the truth and take it upon yourself to sort out.I loved Ethan, loved him in book 1 and still love him in book 2! I feel sorry for him its like everything he did seemed to come back to bite him.All he wanted was to protect Chloe and all it did was hurt her.I felt that Chloe was harsh to him, you don't choose your family and even though I understand her situation I wanted to scream at her that its not Ethan's fault! Give the man a break!

It was constant pattern of there being a problem which leads to Chloe running away, Chloe's boring mind and then making up and back to the start. Vicious cycle.I hated being in Chloe's head her inner dialogue was just too slow and boring for me.It was the same thing over and over again I felt so frustrated with her.I think if this was in dual POV it would have balanced it out and maybe I wouldn't have been so annoyed at Chloe.I'd loved to have gotten more of an insight to Ethan's side and how he was coping and so on.

Review: His Billion Dollar Baby by Lea Nolan

But Carter’s distrust remains, leading them both to wonder if he will ever embrace his brother’s baby—or the love that’s blooming between them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Review
4 Stars!
'Desire fired in his chest, stroking his passion and squelching any well-laid plan to stay away from her.'
Okay so I wanted a book where the woman has a kid or is pregnant or something..Now you are probably like whaaaat? Yeah I don't even know why but that's the book i was looking for and well I could have just asked right? on facebook or here or anywhere but at the time I was too lazy to even do that pft! So in the end I found this book on Net Galley when I was randomly browsing. Looking on Goodreads and finding out that not many people have reviewed it at the moment which made me nervous..is it just me that that happens to? I need to see that a lot of people have reviewed the book I want to read < this somehow calms me and makes me think ahh it can't be that crap if there are so many reviews (even if they are a mixture of good and bad)
I really enjoyed this book, I didn't really think it would be all that, just a short normal okay-ish book so i was surprised when I finished it in one go and wanted more.I thought it would be longer as I prefer longer books to short ones but oh well it was still an enjoyable read.
So yeah let me get to the story since I seem to be rambling!
Carter Anderson is sexy billionaire CEO with a reputation of being a player. He has been betrayed in the past which leaves a bitter taste in his mouth, he can't seem to get passed it.So at his brothers funeral when he meets Gwen Radley he automatically thinks she doing it all for money. Gwen claims to be pregnant with Carter's brother’s baby.
'She was tempting, no doubt, but below that beguiling exterior laid the heart of a woman like any other.One who couldn't be trusted because she would indisputably, exploit you and rip out your heart.'
Gwen Radley has never had much as she is an orphan, she always longer for family but she didn't expect it to be like this. She goes to Ben's funeral to put a picture in his casket a little piece of the baby he will never get to know. Being discreet doesn't work out and things get messy when Carter steps in claiming that she obviously wants money.That this is all a lie. She never knew a one night stand would bring her to this.
Ahh these two were constantly going at each other and at times I just wanted to smack Carter for being a mean little shit.I understood how what he went through in the past messed him up but he really needed to let it go and see past his own issues. I adored him at times and other times not so much but hey it happens.Loved the happy ending, even though this book was predictable its still a great quick read.
Gwen is a strong character, after all she went through she had to be.Things keep going wrong for her yet she never quits, she carries on with her head held high and never gives up.They are both stubborn at times which at times made things worse.
I loved the work Gwen did with Carter's dad and how she helped bring the family together and make it stronger.
Review: Ruthless People By J.J.Mcavoy
Synopsis
"Mr. & Mrs. Smith meets the Sopranos..."
To the outside world, they look like American Royalty, giving to charities, feeding the homeless, rebuilding the city. But behind closed doors is a constant battle for dominance between two Bosses, cultures, and hearts.
Ruthless People is a romantic crime fiction set in modern day Chicago, and follows the life and marriage of Melody Giovanni and Liam Callahan—rivals by blood and leaders through fear. Their marriage, arranged by their fathers in hopes to end years of bloodshed between the Irish and the Italians.
Liam believes he’s getting a simple-minded wife, one he can control, one who bends to his every need . . . the complete opposite of Melody. She knows exactly what type of man he is, and would rather die than give up the power she has spent her life building.
The Mafia of the past has evolved, and with rival bosses gunning for them, Melody and Liam will have to learn to work as one to take down those who stand in their way.
1 Marriage x 2 Bosses = 3x the Chaos
*Warning: Due to bad language, graphic violence and sex this is for over-18's only* Theses are not mobsters with a heart of gold....
They do VERY bad things and will NOT change.
They are criminals...murders.
If things like that bother you Ruthless People is not for you. You've been warned ;)
My Review
3 Ruthless Stars!!
We kill everybody, my dear.
Some with bullets, some with words and everybody with our deeds.
We drive people into their graves, and neither see or feel it."
~Maxim Gorky
Okay soo I don't really know what to rate this one so the ratings may change..there were parts I really enjoyed and other parts not so much.After reading the synopsis I was really excited to get started with this one, C'mon that synopsis is good an I was really hoping it wouldn't be one of those book which have a great synopsis and then you read it and are like hmmm..wtf? And you just want to smash something because that synopsis gave you false hope.Hope that this book would blow you away and in the end all it blows away is your happy feelings and great mood oh and all the time wasted on the book.
But yeah as I said I did enjoy parts of this book which is based around two mafia families and an arranged marriage which is supposed to bring peace between the Italians and Irish mob. Liam who hasn't seen his bride to be thinks he will be getting some simple woman who he can come home to.But things don't exactly go as he wants them to when he comes face to face with Melody who is fierce, strong, sexy and just as ruthless him.She isn't just a simple woman she is also a boss and wants to keep it that way even after they are married. She wants to know everything that is going on and be an equal.
“She looks like a sweet little lamb from afar, but when you get close, you find out she skinned and ate the damn thing just to use it as a coat. She’s a beast."
I found it kind of difficult to like Mel,she is cold, ruthless and blah blah and I know that's how a mob boss is supposed to be and that was fine but I wanted her to be different towards the family and with Liam. She was kind of but I didn't see much character development. I get how her past and how she grew up with little family contributed to how she turned out but I just wanted more change from her. Like dude you can't start pulling out guns and knives and attacking your in-laws! Calm your shit woman!
Liam is awesome! Stubborn, ruthless, hot and childish at times but oh he made me smile and laugh along with him and Declan and Neal.When I found out about his past I was like awwwww! Bless him. He had his moments when I was like urgh Liam stop it! You can't fall in love so easily and I felt like he was trying to hard to get Mel to love him. Like whats to like about her, on the other hand there are lots of likeable qualities in me ;)
This book contains quite a few POVs but the main POVs are Mel and Liam's. I thought I wouldn't like the other family members povs but i ended up enjoying learning more about them and how they got to the place they are now.It helped give more insight to the characters made you even like some characters that on the surface were bland but after finding out more about them you start to view them in a different light.
I wanted this book to be a little more focused on Liam and Mel's relationship and a little less on mafia business but hey it is what it is! Some of the mafia business parts got a little boring or slow for my liking and damn all that swearing :O.. I think I preferred the first half of this book more than the last half.I liked the funny pasts to it and would like more of that.
Review: Trust (Finding Anna #4) by Sherri Hayes
Book 1- Slave
Book 2- Need
Book 3- Truth
Book 4- Trust
Synopsis
***Book 4 of a 4 book series***
Brianna is lost for the fourth time in her life. Each time was unexpected, and each changed the course of her future. The first life-altering event occurred when her mother died, and she moved to Minnesota to live with her father.
The second was when she was kidnapped at the age of seventeen and forced to be a slave. She would never forget those ten months. Brianna thought her life was over.
Everything changed again the day Stephan steamrolled into her life and brought her home to live with him. She had no idea what to expect—what life with her new Master would hold. That first month with Stephan was, in some ways, more confusing than the prior ten. As a slave, she’d known her place. With Stephan everything was new and different. He’d given her freedom and so much more.
Five months after Stephan rescued her, Brianna once again finds her life flipped upside down.
In this fourth, and final, installment of Finding Anna, Brianna must unearth strength she never knew she possessed. Stephan can no longer protect her from the outside world. She must learn to trust herself, embrace who she is, and discover who she wants to be. Only by facing her demons can Brianna find true happiness and peace.
My Review
3 I love Stephan Stars!!
Ahhh I don't know where to start with this one.I was really looking forward to it since I loved the rest of the books in this series but it seems like this one didn't quite live up to my expectations.I think this series should have finished in book 3 instead of it ending in a cliffhanger.The start of this kind of dragged, a little slow for my liking.I always hate when the main characters are separated but this was excruciating I just felt like wtf! Where are the awesome Brianna and Stephan scenes which I love? I was just like flipping pages thinking oh someone stop me when they are together..okay I didn't really do that but oh boy was I tempted!!
I would still recommend this series! Its just such a brilliant series about a slave, a victim of human trafficking who has been saved and needs to start building herself up again with the help of her hot, sexy savior Stephan! I absolutely adore Stephan and always will he was so patient and loving *sighh* all the things I could say about him..the list is endless.
Review: With You (Tear Asunder 0.5) By Nashoda Rose
Synopsis
Sculpt is an illegal fighter.
He’s also the lead singer of a local rock band.
No one knows his real name.
And from the moment I met him, he made me forget mine.
In order to convince Sculpt to give me self-defense lessons, I had to follow his one rule—no complaining or he’d walk. I didn’t think it would be a problem. I could handle a few bruises. What I hadn’t anticipated was landing on my back with Sculpt on top of me and my entire body burning up for him.
I tried to ignore it.
I failed of course. And having a hot, tattooed badass on top of me week after week, acting completely immune to what he was doing to my body—it was frustrating as hell, so I broke his rule—I complained.
Then he kissed me.
My Review
3.5-4 Sculpt loving Stars
This was a quick read and told you all about how Sculpt and Emily met.This novella is a prequel to Torn from You. I think it should definitely be read before book 1 because it gives you more insight on what is going on.Also makes you feel more connected with the characters and so on.Its like it shows the calm before the storm and if you jump start right into Book 1 Torn from You you may not like what you see and even though it does recap some events, it's just not the same!
"I'm a fighter, Mouse. And I know what I want in life, and I'm not scared to take it. I want you. I'm not walking away from you."
Sculpt is a Underground fighter and Emily wants to learn how to fight.Getting Sculpt to agree isn't as easy as she thought but she needs to learn how to protect herself after a recent incident, she needs to face her demons.Little does she know Sculpt has secrets of his own and many demons which he has to face.
She came to him to learn how to fight little did she know that she would fall in love with the mysterious hot Sculpt.Sculpt isn't just a fighter he is also in a popular band, he uses the fighting to make money so his band can go on tour.After Emily comes into his life he needs her with him but Emily wants to make it on her own..
What happens when both their plans change?
One event shatters it all..
I enjoyed this book but I was like eh this isnt wow, I need something more..well the cliffhanger sure did it! I was like ooh now this is getting interesting!!
I liked how sweet Sculpt could be and totally contradict his outer image and I wanted to know more about him..why so mysterious? ;)
I guess we shall find out in book 2..
My Review
4 BROKEN, I-NEED-MORE STARS!!
After reading some crap books I decided to start this book in hopes that it would bring me out of the book funk.I see some good reviews and now I know why.When I see Fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared to You, and Release Me will be hooked.. I am like damn I need to read that book as I loved them books! It made me thing that this book would contain a broken alpha male who finds a women who accepts him in all his brokenness and so on..Yeah this book wasn't like that.There wasn't BDSM involved and Ethan wasn't really controlling a it was much more softer and sweeter.
Ruined is book 1 of the Ethan Frost series by Tracy Wolff, this is the first book I have read by this author and I want more.I loved the chemistry between Ethan and Chloe, the way they teased each other and the banter was awesome, made me laugh especially the smoothie scene.
His hands come up to cup my face, to tilt my head this way and that so he can delve deeper. So I can welcome him wholly inside me. And I do. For these few, stolen moments out of time, I welcome everything he can give me.
Chloe is broken and fragile even though she puts up a good front, after having a rough past she is still trying to get her life back on track.trying to be in control, trying to be normal again, but lets face it she was never normal, not after what she faced and she may never be normal.
First day of her summer internship at Frost Industries and this is what she has always wanted, to be here. Strong independent and trying to get herself through school.She has a plan and she is in control.Things don't seem to go as planned when Ethan Frost sets his eyes on her.He sees more then she wants him to and he is determined to have her.
Chloe has never felt like this before, she is confused and scared as much as she wants to push Ethan away and have him out of her life, she can't.He feels safe, he makes everything better.
In that one, perfect moment, I want more. I want everything. Everything I’ve denied myself since I was fifteen years old. Everything I’ve told myself I don’t want and shouldn’t have.
Ethan..Oh Ethan! He is awesome I loved how he was different, he didn't come across as a cold, serious or impatient.I loved how he treated her as someone precious, he was gentle and wanted to be there for her.He could tell that she had been through some tough times but didn't know much else, yet he wanted to help. His touch healed her, mended some of the cracks in her heart.
You see that he has demons of his own yet all the secrets haven't been revealed, there is much more to the story which I am dying to find out about.The ending..omg cliffhanger! I knew if would be a cliffhanger but I saw hot alpha male and was like cliffhanger what? I will read this book and I will complain when I finish because I have to wait until the next book *sniffs* I knew it I knew it! I was somewhat shocked and then at the back of my mind I knew something like this would happen!
You think its going to be all happy and lovely and then boom! everything changes..
Oh book 2 when can I have you?
